JOURNAL ARTICLE (multiple authors, twenty or fewer)

Citation In-text Example:  "The probability, called the alpha level, is that of a Type I error in hypothesis testing" (Rogers & Smith, 1989, p. 20).

JOURNAL ARTICLE (multiple authors, more than twenty)

Citation In-text Example:  An earlier study (Wolchik et al., 2000) suggests that this is not the case.

JOURNAL ARTICLE WITH A DOI (multiple authors, twenty or fewer)

A doi, or digital object identifier, is a unique and stable string of numbers and letters that identifies a particular article in a particular journal. Do not include a period after a URL or doi.

Citation In-text Example: McMinn et al. (2010) describe four different approaches to Christian counseling.

Citation In-text Example:  This tendency is typically exhibited in women (Lamp, 1992).

ARTICLE OR CHAPTER IN AN EDITED BOOK (multiple authors)

Citation In-text Example: The research clearly indicates several taxonomies of inferences (DeJong & Palermo, 1974; Drew et al., 1990).
