To Do:
1. View the Week 0-1 rubric to see your results, if they are ready. Use the feedback you received to help you set goals for the week and discussion points for your mentor meeting.
2. Complete your research:
At least 20-30 varied sources.
All research questions answered. You may also have new questions, which can be added to your research organizer.
A variety of notes taken – summaries, paraphrases, key words, interesting facts, quotes, maps, graphs, surveys, pictures, etc.
Notes should be well-organized and easy to understand.
3. Create a Word Bank of at least ten important words, listed in alphabetical order, including definitions.
4. Create an MLA-format Works Cited page using BibMe or EasyBib. Upload it to your Research folder or copy-paste the citations in the Works Cited document.
5. Prepare and conduct field trips and interviews:
Research the interviewee/organization before your interview/field trip.
Write notes and prepare questions in the Field Trip_Interview Questions form.
Get approval and submit the Field Trip form at least two days prior to your trip.
Record the interview.
If necessary, provide a brief English translation of your questions and notes.
Take pictures and videos of the field trip/interview. Upload them to the 05. Field Trip and Interviews folder.
6. Write 2-3 journal entries. Your entries should be longer (5-8 sentences). Remember to include specific goals and mentor meeting points.
7. Update your ATL and Profile Reflection.
8. Meet with your mentor at least once.
On Wednesday, 5 February, we will have Mentor-Mentee picture-taking. Be ready at the time your mentor has selected. Wear your Retreat T-shirt.
